Green products
Green products range from solar energy power sources to
eco-friendly sock options. Newer, green versions of old staples to life
are constantly emerging. Even the most environmentally-educated scholars
are thrown off occasionally by the latest eco-friendly or energy efficient
inventions. Ways in which a commodity may be green include:
•Running on renewable energy
•Operating in an energy efficient manner
•Being created from recycled materials
•Having been built from sustainable material sources
Many people assume green products are more expensive, but plenty will
actually save you money. For instance, outdoor solar lights are powered
by the sun, a renewable and free energy source. By purchasing solar
lights, you will no longer have to pay for electricity to power such
things.
Green products reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which are created during
many natural and industrial processes. These gases are present in the
earth’s atmosphere and diminish the loss of heat into space. Without
them, the planet would be too cold for us to survive. An excess of these
greenhouse gases can lead to temperatures which are too hot for survival.
So it is necessary to do what we can to maintain a healthy balance.
