Green energy

Green energy sources are those which are renewable. This means that when we use these sources, our environment is capable of replenishing what we take from it. Some examples include wind energy, solar power, and hydropower. Hydroelectricity is a form of hydropower and represents the most widely used type of renewable energy.

Solar energy is a source of green energy that is often harnessed for residential use. Perhaps the most recognizable products which utilize solar energy are certain calculators and watches. The method of powering appliances with sunlight involves the use of solar panels. Some homes have solar panels set up atop their homes as parts of residential solar power systems, which are used to decrease reliance on city power.

The concept behind green energy is that its resources are sustainable. But just because the energy source is capable of being sustained doesn’t mean that we can take as much as we want from it. When it comes to such renewable power sources as biomass, which uses recently dead biological material to create biofuels, we need to be responsible with what we take.
