Green companies

Green companies are environmentally conscious in a number of ways. The most simple and obvious one is by providing green products. Many grocery stores have organic sections, while other shops are dedicated entirely to organic produce. Look for the phrases “eco-friendly,” “green,” and “sustainable,” when searching for such commodities.

Other green companies may offer appliances which run in energy efficient ways. This means that they complete the tasks they are designed for while requiring less energy than their competitors. Some companies also offer items which are powered by renewable energy sources. An example is Solar Home (http://solarhome.org/), which offers a variety of solar-powered products.

Green companies don’t have to be selling eco-friendly products to operate in environmentally-friendly ways. Some businesses offer incentives to their employees for doing such things as buying hybrid cars. Others make use of recycled paper, or attempt to operate in an entirely paperless fashion.
