Eco friendly products
Eco friendly products are products which are constructed,
sold, and used through sustainable methods. This means that though we
are taking resources from the environment to create these products,
we are not at risk of depleting them. Regardless of what we believe,
the natural resources we rely upon to survive are finite materials.
A materials chemist at the University of Augsburg in Germany named Armin
Reller estimates that we could run out of indium and hafnium by 2017.
These are two increasingly important materials used in the construction
of computer chips. These are just one example of dwindling metal resources.
Forest and animal resources are another matter entirely.
Through the familiar process of recycling, eco friendly products make
use of materials which have already been harvested or created, such
as plastics and glass. Other material options include such things as
growing hardwoods in sustainable methods as well as making use of alternative
substances than what is customary. For instance, bamboo is a highly
renewable material that provides all the services as traditional hardwoods,
without the environmental drawbacks.
Eco friendly products may also simply be energy efficient. This means
that they perform the same functions as traditional items of their like,
while requiring less energy. Energy efficient appliances are often recognizable
by Energy Star labels. Appliances that run on renewable sources of energy,
such as solar battery chargers, are other green options for energy conservation.
